Isle of Man
Brighter Teaching has been offering a Level 3 certificate in counselling on the IOM since March 2023; currently, we have 2 cohorts, and our plan is to run our Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Integrative Counselling Theory and Practice in late 2023.
This will give the chance to those on the island to develop themselves, giving them the opportunity when qualified to work as a therapeutic counsellor, becoming a member or an accredited member of BACP or NCPS, but more importantly will offer that vital therapeutic support to those on the island.
We are in talks with a number of services on the island offering partnership opportunities to provide student placements; if you are a service that is interested, then please get in touch. We would love to hear from you.
Tommy has worked as a counsellor for 9 years in the UK, including managing and supervising services. Tommy worked as the head of curriculum for counselling, adult health and social care in a large adult education provider in the UK for four years.
In his time, Tommy has helped set up a number of counselling services in the UK, providing student counsellors to a number of services which include prisons and charities. Brighter Teaching will give the students what they need so that on the complication of level 5, they will have the ability to feel confident and comfortable working on and off the island, face to face or online, with different presentations.
” I have had the pleasure of working with Brighter Teaching now for several years. They have gone the extra mile and provided EFT training to all of their training Counsellors. This enables them to have an invaluable therapy to use with their future clients, to help support and empower them.
This has given me a great insight to the high level of teaching they have been provided by Brighter Teaching. So much so I am currently interviewing this year’s cohort to hire within my organisation. “
